LET ME PLAY: OUTDOOR GAMES

In May, we played outdoor games. The first game we played was Actionbound. The pupils did the tasks with great fun and excitement while doing the tests and open ended questions among the tasks.

We also played hopscotch in our school garden. In this game, students are divided into groups. They roll a dice in turns and try to answer the questions correctly in order to move forward. There are some snakes & ladders on their way. The team who reaches the finish point first wins the game. They played with joy!

In Problem-Solution Game,students found the problem and matched them with the correct solutions.

Istopish game is the english version of the İstop game in Turkish.

In May we played outside and learned what we studied during lessons. It made us feel happy and we had so much fun.

ONE OF OUR GAMES IS HOPSCOTCH
Students use chalk to draw a hopscotch pattern on the ground in the school garden. They create a diagram with eight sections. On the corner of each square, a piece of cartoon written vocabulary in English on it is put. While a student hops on one square to another, s/he needs to say Turkish meaning of the vocabulary. If s/he doesn't know it, s/he is out of the game. The one who knows all the words while hopping wins the game. Then other vocabularies are put on each square and the game continuous with next

1. Treasure Hunt

Players try to find hidden objects or places by following a series of clues. There are small pieces of papers with some tasks for each of the students. A student go to the place s/he is directed, find her message with their own name, read the message do what it asks for. In the end, they should bring their papers with the tasks completed.

2. Decorate my Room

Firstly, students write some of the house furniture on pebbles. Then, they draw a house design on the ground in the school yard. They mark the rooms with the titles. Finally, they try to throw the pebbles right into the rooms where they should be in an ordinary house.

HACER ÇAKIR-ALİ GÜNERİ SECONDARY SCHOOL

We played outdoor games in May.

Our first game is ''Answer the question and Drop the handkerchief'' but we changed some rules and added some questionsto the game.

How to play it?

*First prepare small question cards and write questions on it.
*Divide the students into two or more groups.

*Each group must answer all the questions as soon as possible.

*Each student in the groups runs to pointed place and get one card and answer the question.

*If the student answers the question correctly, the other student in their group runs and answers the questİon.

*The group which finishes the questions correctly first win the game.

In May, we played outdoor games. As an outdoor game, my students designed "Jump'in English". They asked some questions and vocabulary on card boards, laminated them and stuck on floor. They also prepared a dice to move on and jump. They threw the dice and tried to answer the questions.
